Pros
I have been an employee of Euclideon for many years.
The CEO of the company, Bruce Robert Dell has always treated me very well and to my observations at the workplace he has extended this to all other employees at the company. He has a desk covered with gifts from grateful employees and went out of his way to provide private health care cover for all employees at the company. Mr Dell could be on a much higher CEO salary however he lives humbly and chooses to live on a modest pay similar to that of his employees instead choosing to pump the excess back into the company for future growth.
We (the staff) all often have lunch and dinner with Bruce and most of us consider him a friend who goes out of his way to help us, even when he doesn’t need to financially or otherwise he is always willing to at least listen and I could not imagine working under a better management team. I am not religious and did not want a priest to be the celebrant for my wife and I’s wedding, through much hard work we came to a way where we were able to elect Bruce as our celebrant and the day could not have gone better under his direction.
This review might seem like a bit of a red flag here compared to the other reviews, but if you just read through them it reveals their sinister intentions.
The one refers to Euclideon as “a cult”, the other says the staff are all juniors who have been moulded to agree with the CEO, another talks about how successfully the CEO is deceiving them all. Mostly it stems down to them either wanting ridiculous job perks, wouldn’t adapt to new technology and times, just had a toxic personality or just did something downright illegal, and when they finally get cut they come to glassdoor to vent their anger that they themselves could not fit into the environment. What they fail to understand is that Euclideon prides itself at being at the forefront of cutting edge technology, to push the envelope and where most companies would give up on a project and list reasons why they can’t do something. We would rather ask “why not” and find the solution. It was this approach that led us… A small Australian Tech company to get 2nd place at the world’s biggest technology competition. These former employees were mad at the fact we were expanding to all areas of VR, software AND hardware. Making our own game engines, and not using industry standards like VR goggles. We wanted to push the envelope like we said, and some just don’t see that and leave in anger.
So who are these complainers?
Well the first batch did something illegal. When they were found out the CEO took pity on the ring leader and gave him a lot of money to just go leave the company,( If I disagree with Bruce on anything, its his mercy on garbage employees, this guy got more chances then a cat has lives, Id kick him out a lot faster then he did). The CEO felt the others could stay and be forgiven. However the others all said “ we want money too like you gave to the first person “. The CEO didn’t agree so they all left and put up bad glass door posts about “what a cult it is and how all the happy staff left behind are stupid”
The second few posts are from a group of people who could not understand why our company makes its own technology instead of using technology that already exists. ( we made 15 arcade games in one year, because we made our own very fast to develop game engine that I am personally involved in making). These complainers were people who didn’t want to learn our new technology they kept complaining that it wasn’t what they had learnt at university. They didn’t perform well and eventually were dismissed for refusing to work, or they left the company. Cue glassdoor reviews…
The main one who posted here, He left about a year ago, then 6 months later asked to be rehired. The CEO asked the games team if they wanted to rehire him, they all pretty much unanimously said “no he was a toxic employee who distracted every one with his endless complaining about how we do things here“ so the CEO told him he could not come back. That’s when he wrote about what a terrible place Euclideon is to work at. Sometimes you don’t realise how great you have something until you throw it away.
If you want a great place to work… Give Euclideon a try.
Cons
Not many come to mind to be honest.
