Pros

Great colleagues, strong agricultural expertise, original approach to supporting smallholder farmers in Africa. Good salary and benefits. Small office (4-5 staff). Flexible employer.

Cons

Not many. If it is a good match it is a great place to work. A small office means a lack of things such as IT support, everyone has to do their share.

Pros

Creative freedom to design and organize projects. Welcoming and inclusive environment with supportive staff. International experience, working directly with staff around the world. I always felt like I was doing meaningful work that was directly helping advance the organization's mission and benefiting the people we served. Dynamic projects that were always changing and growing. I also got to attend conferences and presentations specific to my study interests for free.

Cons

I had to self-teach myself some aspects of the job because the job is seasonal and I had to pick up where someone else had left off

Very flexible and friendly. The staff is also very inclusive.

Cons

Not much to do. You spend much of the day bored.
