Only here for my broker

Pros

Our broker is awesome! If it wasn't for him, I would've been out the door 6 months ago. I do love the "family" atmosphere our office has.

Cons

My clientele is quickly growing into more of an upscale clientele base, and I don't feel the brand has what it takes to help me maintain this image. From the brands color selection, logo, outdated back of house systems, and training, as a millennial I feel they're always playing catchup and not truly abreast to what is current. I know every franchise is different, but ours seems dated and "uncool" for such a hip town as the one I work in. I've already easily out performed 90% of the agents who work there, in my first year alone. This wasn't due to amazing training, but good ole hard work, creative thinking, and a broker who always took my question. I need a place where I'm surrounded by top producers so I'll push myself further. The fees add up! Holy cow! The incentive program of bringing on agents doesn't seem all that impressive when we lack so much, and I'm almost embarrassed to say I'm affiliated with the company. One of the owners of the local franchise is a complete nightmare.

Pros

The work is vast and always a new task. The days are never the same, meeting new people and clients.

Cons

Very detail oriented position to look over contracts and pricing comps. Finding the correct price to analyze someones home can be tough.

Pros

EXIT was an enticing company to work for straight out of real estate school. It was a low yearly fee, no office fees, copy fees, etc. The agent who recruited you would make a percentage off of your commissions , so it seemed like there would be a good bit of training and guidance.

Cons

There was little to no training for a new agent. Even though the fees were low, if you became a highly producing agent, the caps were so high it would take a long time to start receiving the majority of your commissions.
