Pros

- A young crowd to work with - Good culture - welcoming to newcomers, pretty flat hierarchy, everyone is approachable - Good pay IMO (at least in the per-COVID world) - Great founders - very insightful and experienced folks - Feels like a startup even after 8 years (not sure if this is a pro or a con :P) - Best place to kickstart your career

Cons

- Did not scale very well in terms of people. There were a lot of suboptimal hires made in the last year. This reduced the overall quality of engineers. - The biggest con is the infra. The infra we work with is quite obsolete. All the initiatives taken are half baked. There is no standard followed anywhere in the infra. One person practically handles everything. And when he is out of office, no support for infra that day. - All the good people, that made Exotel the best place to work at, have left. And everyone left in the span of a few months (nothing to do with COVID). This cannot be a coincidence. This was not acknowledged at all by the management. - A lot of bad reviews on glassdoor :P Not all of them are truthful. Looks like some of them were written in pure frustration.

Cons

Random no logic decisions every day.Back and forth on decision all the time. If you ask for reasons for decisions or suggest that something does not seem right you get an answer that you are not fit for the new Exotel. The new Exotel is just clueless. Maybe nobody is fit here? People are scared about losing jobs and we get high level gyaan from managers. Leadership is now a group of ruthless folks who think they have figured a new style of management where treating people as dispensable will improve productivity. Come to office or resign. Hit targets or resign (how can a engineer ensure we hit targets when we have no idea what is happeneing and what control do I have)

Pros

* lots of parties * Pays salaries on time * Hike is good, if you get any...

Cons

* Upper management is utter waste, only some handful of ppl runs the company blindly * Very dirty office, you can even see mouse fight sometimes * Company has no future projection, within 1 week of lockdown they started crying that they ran out of funds * No documentation of any product (Everything is in the air), product quality is awful, lots of bugs you can find. * Zero work life balance, manager can ask you to work you till 12 am, everyday * Hire and fire policy is very common here
