Pros

The staff hired were all really nice, great camaraderie among the team.

Cons

Leadership team (c-level) was terrible in every aspect. No idea how to develop a product based on user needs. Communicate effectively to the business. Unable to commit to decisions made, because the leaders found features in other apps all the time they wanted to have in Fastic so direction would change continually at the drop of a hat Unethical practices for user experience - lying to users blatantly about being able to buy products on the app, lying about moderation within the internal Fastic app community. Was sold as a flexible work environment but what that really meant was you were expected to be flexible and reply to any email/slack message outside of your working hours and if you don't you are penalised.

Thank you very much for your time to write your review and to provide us with your perspective on your experience at Fastic. I’m sorry you felt that your experience at Fastic was not positive. Unfortunately, while the company grew exceptionally fast last year, we experienced some challenges and not everything went optimally. We have already implemented key improvements to tackle the potentials we identified. We are doing everything we can to make Fastic a first-class experience for both our users and employees. It is very important to me personally that every employee at Fastic can rely on the leadership and the management team. Commitment is one of our cultural principles and is an important pillar of functional teams, along with trust and the ability to deal with conflict, and the acceptance of responsibility. To ensure that our cultural principles are consistently adhered to, we put them at the forefront of all our feedback processes and have implemented regular structured & short feedback cycles. Our leadership and management are all enrolled on a leadership program and receive regular training and ongoing support from an external leadership and management training provider. I’d like to add that we are very excited about our new 10 year long-term strategy that is now in place. We have developed it based entirely on market research, customer feedback, and data. It specifically addresses the challenges our users have in developing a new, healthy lifestyle. As we implement our long-term strategy, we're making incremental adjustments based on new insights so at the same time we have a solid and reliable guideline that is aligned with Fastic's target audience. We strongly believe this approach will positively impact people’s wellbeing around the world. To improve clarity, understanding and motivation, we have implemented several measures to provide a clear view to our employees of what is coming up in Fastic in both the short and long term. It is very important to me that everyone in our team clearly understands what we are doing, why we are doing it and how. In regards to work-load, work-life-balance is important to us. We have introduced a number of new initiatives such as core meeting hours and no meetings Wednesday as well as added additional employee benefits to support with this such additional paid days off, co-working space budgets and access to therapy. We have just this week announced to the team the roll out of our mental health program where employees can access services and can also seek help with private issues, concerns about burnout and much more. On behalf of the Fastic team, I would like to thank you for your contribution to the Fastic vision. We wish you every success and only the best for your future career. Florian, CEO

Pros

- Nice team (below C-levels) - New equipment when you start work

Cons

- Bad payment - Bad leadership: C-levels' conduct does not match the values they claim to embody - Due to some terrible financial mismanagement the COO fired a bunch of people (mostly managers and leads, great talent too) on the spot via google hangout. No warning. People were cut off systems immediately - not even given time to say good bye to their team or exchange contacts. Laughable severance deal. - You're offered perks that seem attractive at first sight (shares) but offer no real value as they are revoked immediately upon termination. - The two managing directors are young men in their 20s, who made it big as they invented the product but are completely inexperienced and underperforming as leaders.

Thank you for your review. We value your honest feedback as it’s critical for us to guide improvements of the employee experience and can empower positive change. To ensure a more transparent, fair and competitive salary structure, we rolled out our very first salary model this year that objectively calculates salaries for all employees based on measurable criteria. This considers role, performance in relation to the role as well as the respective cost of living at the remote location. With this new model, we have implemented an important further step in our People Strategy. We will optimize this model over the next few years as our business evolves and continues to grow. In addition to the compensation model, we have established a regular 180 degree feedback process which sets clear parameters. We are in the planning phase of creating a 360 degree feedback process we can roll out next year. I would like to apologize for your experience during the restructuring process. We recognised there was a lot that needed to be improved in terms of the communications and the delivery of the communication here. Regardless of our learnings here, we have put the company on a solid financial foundation so that this type of situation does not have to happen again. We are excited about the future of Fastic and to continue to learn and evolve to the very best business we can be. On behalf of the Fastic team, I would like to thank you for your contribution to the Fastic vision. We wish you every success and only the best for your future career. Florian, CEO

Pros

Fully remote You can learn a lot The team was really nice, they have a good HR that hires people that fit as personality-types.

Cons

Lack of transparency in every aspect No clear direction whatsover from management, you keep getting good and very good feedback and then, in an instance, you're not good enough anymore. You'll receive messages when you shouldn't be working and it's best if you're replying to them ;). Periods with lots of work No QA in the Product Team

Thank you for your review and critical feedback. I’m very sorry that you felt your experience at Fastic was not professional in every aspect. Open feedback is an important part of our culture at Fastic. We have been working hard to make improvements on how we give and receive feedback. We have established a regular feedback process so all employees receive timely and direct feedback. A few months ago we introduced our regular 180 degree feedback review and have in the planning stages a 360 degree review process to be launched hopefully by mid next year. In terms of workload the wellbeing of our employees is something we take very seriously. We understand the importance of down-time and how this can impede innovation, creativity and productivity. Although we give the team a huge amount of autonomy and flexibility about how, where and when they work it is important to us that availability times are clearly regulated in our remote environment. This year we introduced core working hours (10-4pm CET) and No Meeting’s Wednesdays to promote a better work-life-balance and to enable the team an additional 20% per week of additional and uninterrupted focus time. We are actively investing in our employees wellbeing and are currently rolling out our very first mental health program where our employees can access support with private issues, burnout prevention and much more, which we are excited to see in action. Thanks also for your comment about the Fastic Family. Today at Fastic we see ourselves as a team, encouraging behaviors that are important for a strong team: trust, conflict skills, commitment and taking responsibility. Only as a strong and trustful team are we able to achieve our objectives successfully. On behalf of the Fastic team, I would like to thank you for your contribution to the Fastic vision. We wish you every success and only the best for your future career. Florian, CEO
