Pros

Pay and benefits are decent.

Cons

Leadership is constantly cutting staff and resources while raising prices on products, so our clients are getting less ROI every year. There's also zero communication, so we have to find out about massive 3,000-person layoffs from the news rather than any announcements.

Pros

There is nothing positive I can say about this company

Cons

Nepotism runs wild at this poorly run branch of Thomson Reuters. Sr. Leadership only interested in advancing their friends, who are primarily women. Gentlemen need not think about advancement because the company will never allow that to happen. It is a disgusting truth at this company that people just don't ever talk about but it is wildly known as the truth. The culture is so misguided that most employees are brainwashed into thinking that things are great - when in fact they are all making less than industry standards pay in all areas of the company, and the internet marketing community views FindLaw's overall offering as a complete joke. If you are smart enough to be able to break away from this ridiculous, soul sucking place to work and see what the world is really like, you will soon realize for yourself that you wasted your time trying to find the good in an organization that is honestly just another big corporation gouging their customers, pacifying their employees, and taking way more than they give. Be smart about your career, people. There is a reason this place hires lower level talent...its because those that have talent would never dream of stooping low enough to work for FindLaw.

Very uncomfortable environment

Pros

The hours are flexible, and no real pressure to be there at a curtain time. The pay seemed to be a bit above average. Great vacation and PTO time - if you start January 1, you automatically will get close to six weeks paid holidays, PTO and sick days off our first year.

Cons

There main hub in Eagan Minnesota has over 6000 employees so there is a huge feeling of only being a number. The department I worked in was called FindLaw, they marketed to lawyers and was run and managed by a younger insecure group. Very insecure team that was not interested in hearing your idea's because they didn't think of it - you know what I mean? Super super quiet environment, no one talked, no one made phone calls, it was do quiet that you could hear yourself chew - you wouldn't dare bite into an apple, everyone would hear you - it's just a very uncomfortable environment. No real training, more like figure it out on your own. In general, most people don't say good morning or say good night - it was weird, no one really asked anything about you. I think they were so self conscience and uncomfortable about being friendly or afraid they might get in trouble for something. NO FUN, period!
