Some points are from colleagues.
- Commissions based. So, if you are an account manager, depends on your luck if your department head picks you to have clients with a bigger budget. Or else you are left with clients with low management fees and expect lower rates after every renewal.
- Won't go too far to say some department heads are under-qualified as the industry is constantly changing. But many people left because some HODs and managers are not good at being leaders. Either they are often MIA or too controlling. Can be seen from the department with many people leaving. Once, a colleague got scolded by the manager in front of everyone in the office.
- There are no bonuses. Hence, tech staff & designers will have to fight for their base salary since they do not get a share of the commissions.
Thus, all these create office politics and division between departments, their HODs/managers, and the executives.
