Pros

The “little people” in each department. Leadership is so poor within this bank that branches and departments have to band together to watch each other’s backs which in some instances leads to a tight knit family atmosphere at your immediate work environment.

Cons

Pay is very low compared to other banks. No raises, I mean NO raises for years. Moving targets constantly as to what is expected of you. Strained political environment with factions throughout. Executive leadership team is bipolar from day to day with extremely high peaks and extremely low valleys. Leadership is a slave to the bottom line (profits) and does not feel any obligation to give back to the employees who are executing the day to day operations that make that profit for the bank. I cannot stress enough how hostile the bank’s climate is towards employees especially in the retail division and operations. Check the job boards online or on their website. They are CONSTANTLY needing to hire new people, arguably more so than any other bank in Chattanooga, due to endless turnover. Endless turnover is a sign of internal problems and leadership issues. Stay far away unless you have no other options and just need a “job” for the short term.

Pros

Free lunch when for meetings

Cons

The rudest and angriest people get promoted to senior management. I watched people come in so happy to work their and the instantly start hating their job.

Pros

Convienent location downtown, 8:30-5, M-F is always a nice schedule. A variety of co-workers allows you to find a niche, somewhat.

Cons

Lack of training, beware of the parking situation (it's not something they'll discuss with you during the interview and can cost you a minimum of $75/month), turnover rate is high in each department, benefits aren't attractive
