      Pros

      When left alone by upper management, there were some great people working here.

      Cons

      Upper management, especially the managing director, was a Dickensian nightmare. It was especailly infuriating as many people enjoyed their jobs and just wanted to be left alone to get on with it. Threats, finger pointing, tantrums, tears, lewd, rude and crude comments, paranoia and egomania were commonplace, while promotions and demotions were arbitrary at best. This place was, and apparently still is, a jungle.

      Pros

      Opportunity to work among some great fun, like minded individuals and if you’re really lucky you might even get promoted for going above and beyond the call of duty. The pay is good. Above average for what you’re asked to do and there is rarely a need to work late.

      Cons

      Those high level promotions? Rare. The boss doesn’t like to share power. No meetings allowed between department heads! In fact, the senior management team are a joke and the managing director is known for being aggressive and confrontational. Don’t step foot in this place for an interview let alone a job if you value your mental health and any kind of genuine career progression. You will be belittled, bullied and manipulated on an almost daily basis, especially by the managing director and his cronies.

      A good place to work if you are ex forces and used to working within the constraints of standards of procedure. Compliance is a key part of any role within this company.

      Cons

      Flagship media is a regime that breaks an individual's personal flair and operates a tyranical and over bearing manner. The HR department are very clued up and deal with tribunals on a regular basis.
