Pros

Consistent paycheck every other friday.

Cons

You hear the phrase "thankless job" thrown around by management and it really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. There are so many misguided individuals in positions of power who do not have their employee best interest in mind. Incompetent, insensitive, inconsistent and down-right ignorant managers bark orders 24/7 because like to control and bully others. Most if not all employees are overworked, under appreciated and most of all UNDER PAID. No room for growth due to favoritism and discrimination. A thankless job with thankless pay! We are constantly being overworked by misinformed individuals because they're pushing to do more with less. No one is happy. No one smiles. Many of the higher ups are no where to be found in the office. Always out and about traveling...even when money is supposedly tight...

Pros

Great People, sometimes we get pizza

Cons

Over worked! Director and managers take advantage of you. Once you show you are capable of being great they use you and promise you things that never happen. Everyone acts as if you are beneficial to the company but really you aren’t! They don’t want to lose you because they know they’ll lose a good employee. One lady in the back with the managers runs around like working so hard but she still isn’t titled a manager she does more than any of them even more than the director!

Pros

The regular employees are amazing and like family The PTO is very nice I made some lifelong friends through dealing with customers

Cons

Upper management is more worried about what is in their pockets instead of how employees are being managed at individual locations. There were so many good employees I watched with my own eyes walk right out. They are beyond stingy on raises. I had to put in a 2 weeks once and actually leave the company eventually just to get a raise. I was making a mere $11 an hour and was a lead in my department at the time and they were bringing in people under me starting at $16. There is no justifying that no matter how you look at it. Flash is a multi-million dollar company (or so the high ups just loved to tell us every time we had one of those useless meetings that could have been an email) so there is no excuse why they couldn't pay fair wages. They lose people and never replace them so they have more money in their pockets because they work the employees left to the bone. Somebody quits? Oh, we will give their job to the person already doing 3 others jobs. They can handle it. Flash has such potential but they really need new managers and need to replace a lot of the people that are really high up in the company! I will say that Sam, really seems like a genuinely nice person but people under him like Aaron Peterich, probably one of the biggest jerks I have ever met in all my years in logistics. Get him out of there and I guarantee you will have happier managers and happier employees. Oh, and the absolute worst thing about this company is, if you are good at your job, you will NEVER get to advance in the company. They will keep you there as long as you will stay!

Pros

- This is a significantly growing company, with lots of opportunities to advance if you work hard and meet deliverables. - A family like culture exists -- colleagues care about each other. - Terrific willingness to share both institutional and industry related knowledge with newbies. - Not a lot of micro-managing. They hire good people and let them do their jobs without interference. - Flash cares a lot about the worldwide communities where we work and live, and supports organizations with both dollars and volunteering efforts. - Open door policy is prevalent throughout the organization, from the executive level to mid management. They listen to ideas/suggestions from anyone. - Making significant investments to improve technology, warehouse management and hiring new employees as we grow. - Flash provides a great number of paid holidays. - The Exec Team and managers are quick to acknowledge and praise employees who go the extra mile.

Cons

- Being a global organization, Flash is sometimes challenged with teams working in silos. We must improve communication to ensure teams get the information needed from others to do their jobs effectively and efficiently.; - Though there has been an improvement in the past year or so, there seems to be a tendency for people to lob an issue over the fence into another team's lap without asking "what can my team do to solve the issue?" - Flash is experiencing growing pains - but are working on improving communication and internal processes. - Work-life balance can be an issue, depending on the role within the organization.
