Pros
I've really been enjoying my role so far in my tenure at Flashtract. I came from working several years in larger companies with big flashy names, and had grown tired of the bureaucracy. I've embraced and welcomed all of the perks of being at a smaller company. Not only do I have significantly fewer meetings per week than I had in other roles, I now A) have lots of time to focus and develop ideas, and B) have utter reassurance that my work will 100% be integrated into the growth of the product. It is also a great opportunity to be involved in an industry that has so much growth and potential in the software/digital sphere. My colleagues are frequently available. We're in constant contact with each other and everyone is always willing to lend an ear when needed. There is also a lot of trust in each other's capabilities and roles. The leadership is friendly, approachable, and truly cares about the customers and employees equally, so there is a lot of room for contribution. The office location, benefits, and especially unlimited PTO is certainly a nice perk -- if anything, to not have to worry too much about having to take time off which is particularly important to me as a full-time working parent. Overall, I'm quite pleased, satisfied, and humbled to be working here.
Cons
Working during the era of Covid restricts what would be some otherwise enjoyable moments to socialize in the office, but otherwise no strong cons to working here.
