Avoid working here!

Pros

Employee discounts on all products.

Cons

Unfortunately, the experience I had at this company was quite poor. Management's communication with teams is horrendous. I've never seen a company be so consistently and drastically inaccurate when forecasting expected sales volumes; along with that- management waits until the last minute to make big decisions, which makes it extremely difficult to successfully and strategically plan. Multiple employees shared the sentiment that they were set up to fail, due to lack of timely direction. Working here feels like you are constantly just putting out fires while poor decision making from the top seems to set new fires daily. This company may end up successful due to the CEO's high profile/wealthy connections, but there is nothing unique/innovative the company is trying to do to set it apart from say, a much cheaper Bloom and Wild. Long way to go before this company lives up to the words "luxury flowers." Not worth the headache to work here.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It’s always disappointing to hear someone has not had a positive experience so we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback so we can further understand different perspectives. Like many organisations, we’ve had to adapt to a number of external factors, and this has resulted in some changes within the business. Change can be unsettling for some, and we appreciate the importance of communication. We conduct weekly one to ones, team meetings and a monthly company All Hands to provide the team with updates and the opportunity to ask questions. We also conduct regular anonymous pulse surveys, and we were very happy with our recent quarterly eNPS score of 36. According to experts, anything above an eNPS score of 30 is excellent. Our focus remains on the quality of our product, and our pledge to ethical trading and sustainability is greater than ever. With many plans on the horizon, we are not only looking to improve upon what we already do, but remain industry-leading in new developments and best practices. Thanks again and we wish you all the best.

Pros

Pretty product images. Monthly flowers.

Cons

The CEO isn't a business person and runs the operation like a vanity project for her personal image and social network. PR will only get you so far. For a DTC business, the company is woefully under resourced in the technical space. The flower category has extremely lean margins and is complicated from a quality and fulfillment standpoint. Be very clear about what experience you want to gain from a position at Flowerbx as you will likely not be there very long. I would estimate average tenure is a year at best.

Thank you for your feedback. As you’ve taken the time to share, we would like to respond to some of the specific areas you’ve raised. The ambition and drive of our CEO has ensured FLOWERBX remains agile amidst rapidly changing macroeconomic conditions. This year, we recruited some key roles within our leadership and management teams to further support the CEO with the success of FLOWERBX. Our diverse team brings a wealth of knowledge and varying perspectives to support the next stage of our journey. We’ve significantly invested in our product and tech team over the last 12 months, which has resulted in the successful relaunch of our website. We now have a platform which we feel comfortable building out further conversion rate optimisers and continuing to deliver an unparalleled solution for our customers. We want FLOWERBX to be a great place to work. We don’t get the journey right for every employee and understand there’s always room for improvement. That’s why we will continue to encourage and value feedback. We offer an exit interview with all leavers which provides an opportunity for them to share feedback, however we respect that not everyone wishes to participate. If you would like to discuss your feedback, please feel free to reach out to a member of the FLOWERBX team that you feel comfortable speaking with. We wish you all the best.
