If you get an offer to work for the Cloud team RUN. Seriously, get another job. The management on that team is very green and toxic. The high exec manager is very good at not showing any of the higher ups this behavior, therefore it becomes a "the employee's word versus the manager's word" environment. He has been quoted to say "who do you think they'll believe, you or me" during one-on-one meetings. That should tell you everything you need to know. Most people on the team are unhappy with this leadership and only a few lucky people were able to escape it by either leaving the company or switching teams. It's a real shame, because every other department is run by very experienced and non-toxic leaders. Another thing that is concerning is the burn rate and financial success of the company. Though the CEO is very transparent, it's difficult to understand how well the company is actually doing. Upper management spends a lot of time talking about potential. Potential sales, potential revenue, but it is pretty unclear if the company is financially succeeding or failing. If financial stability is important for you, consider that before taking the job.
