Pros

CCYP Program Manager in Springfield is amazing. They were the only one to take care of their employees. The programs work and clients are in need of them.

Cons

The company has opened multiple branches in 2022; however, FosterAdopt Connect failed to take care of their employees when it came to maternity leave and other benefits. At no fault of their own, 3 women at 1 branch did not qualify for maternity leave. Keep in mind the branch had just opened earlier that year. In order to qualify for parental leave, you need to be employed by them for a year. FosterAdopt Connect stated in many meetings that there were no concerns for Lay-offs; a month later they laid off 15 employees with no notice. Most of those 15 did not make enough from the company by the time they were laid off to qualify for Unemployment. The company also stated that the benefits would go through the end of the month, assuming that includes the HRA Benefit Card. Nope. Their HR let us know the day after termination that the HRA Benefit Card would be terminated immediately the day of termination. Thanks fir that warning and false information. This company claims to be family friendly and employee centered; however, their employees are pawns to them.

Pros

The employees really do good work in the community. You will feel like you are having a great impact.

Cons

You will never be treated well by leadership or HR. They do not care about their employees' wellbeing. They view everyone as replaceable. As soon as you speak out about an unfair practice, they'll move to fire you. They're far from the "family friendly" business they claim to be and only care about the bottom line. I've heard of employees being denied parental leave or FMLA. Don't work here if you have children or plan to.

Pros

The work that the organization does and promotes in the community.

Cons

There is no equity, diversity or inclusivity. All of executive leadership are white women or men. They do not want your voice to be heard. Especially if you’re a person or color or if you don’t agree with executive leadership. They will silence you. And walk all over you if you allow them. Who wrongfully terminates an employee during an open grievance? And then lies to unemployment and tells them you quit? FosterAdopt Connect that’s who!!!! They are a JOKE! They’re supposed to be a non profit organization. But are perpetuating racism, homophobia, discrimination and systemic racism!!! Let’s not forget bullying, intimidation, harassment AND retaliation!!! No wonder they have such a high turnover. And no wonder the social work industry is 75% understaffed! Because of organizations and treatment like this towards employees that are passionate about the work and committed to impacting the community for the marginalized!!
