Pros

- There is a canteen with at least 3 choices at each meal. - Those who have to clock in can make-up the time. Many work 9 hours a day to take the Friday afternoon off. - The IT department is packed with talented and passionate people. - The IT department try to use the last technologies. - Good work-life balance.

Cons

- No parking places for consultants. You have to park next to a nearby forest on a muddy track. It's a 10 min walk away. During winter, some colleges have fallen badly on the ground due to ice. Also some cars got stuck in the mud. Even with the construction of the new building extensions that doubled the capacity of the current building, there is still no places for every employee. The management doesn't care about it. As long as they have their little cocoon, nothing will change. - Many people awarded with scrum-master/management/director roles due to their longevity at the company, not because they are a good fit for the position. As example, a skilled IT dev that was expert in his area (but lacks leadership, scrum, communication knowledge) was promoted scrum-master full time. Foyer lost a very good dev and won a bad scrum-master. - There is a rank named "Fondé de pouvoir". Everybody above this rank doesn't need to clock in. These guys have a cushy job. - The work is no more "cushy" for people under the rank "Fondé de pouvoir". Indeed monitoring measures called "ÉLAN" were put in place since 2017 everywhere. It allows the management to gather performance data from each project team. Officially the aim is to increase existing process efficiency. However the goal is clearly to monitor employees that used to "lay back". Since mid-2017, many employees have been fired overnight. - Newcomers have to be quickly casted in the mold of Foyer culture. If not they will be fired overnight, sometimes without warnings. - Project ideas and deadlines change frequently without time being added for them, adding more work to already overbooked employees. - Expect to throw away weeks of work and be moved back and forth between projects without notice. - Zero job security. They will kick you out the door in a hurry if they want. - Beware. Do not trust HR and most managers. They don't have your best interests at heart. They will make you a lot of promises. (ex "What we say during this meeting will remain between You and Me"), but one week later many will know what happened. - Last but not least, better smoker than coffee addict. Smokers can take up as many breaks as they want without bringing attention. But if you take more than 2 coffee breaks a day, beware. There are a lot of snitch and you will soon have a word from colleges or managers.
