Avoid the founder at all costs

Pros

Nada. None. Zip. Niet. Skip to cons.

Cons

Avoid all startups founded by Fragcolor's Italian founder. He is, without a doubt, the worst person, business owner, manager, and colleague you could ever encounter in your career. The previous reviews, while accurate, have actually been quite generous. Working with this individual has been the most negative experience of my life, and I’m sure others who have left or been laid off would agree. I am confident that none of his ventures will succeed, and if you join him, you'll only be dragged down with him into a dark hole.

Pros

Can't think of any. Maybe the office location is convenient

Cons

Worst company I have ever joined, no progression at all. Wasting all the employees time, not being appreciated for the work being done. CEO being bias to his favourite employee, letting him work from home when the CEO himself announced to every one that working from home is cancelled. Giving all sorts of excuses to side that employee that he wfh can get work done better. On the other hand, forcing those foreign workers to come work in Singapore if not he will cut their pay. Spending company's finances like free flow, instead of saving and come out with a product for the company, he used it more on his personal lifestyle. CEO expect his workers to be in a bad mood together with him, no leadership at all. Conclusion, very toxic company, bad for mental health. Not as good as they mentioned when they interview candidates.

Pros

I guess relocation and chance to go for company trips

Cons

The Founder frequently coerced overseas employees into relocating to Singapore, despite the fact that many of us have family and roots in our current locations. He gave us significant pay cuts not due to our performance, but simply because we choose to remain in our respective countries. To justify this, the Founder often makes snide comments, such as "if I can move my whole family, so can you", which is unreasonable given that our salaries are not on par with his. In addition, the company's technological direction has been far from stable. Initially, we were developing a game engine, but then the founder decided to reveal the marketplace that was literally only capable of uploading JPEGs. Following that, the founder worked on an AI image generator and scrapping that after just a week. Last was the founder’s attempt to add GPT to the game engine, just to rush for the attendance at GDC. The Founder's decision to ‘rush’ development is by building both the game engine and the card game simultaneously. This is akin to building a plane while it's flying. Since I left, only two developers are left - one focused on blockchain, and the other on the game engine. I fear that if the Founder continues to pressure employees to relocate, things will only get worse from here. Co-founder doesn’t know anything but acts as if he is a developer. Although he presents himself as management, he appears to be little more than a bootlicker who agrees with the Founder on matters not concerning his card game.
