Bad management, poor prospects

Pros

No pros at all, other than nespresso coffee machines.

Cons

They don't even understand their own product and what they want it to do, so how can one sell it? Run by cliquey set of people, no sense of collaboration, very siloed approach to teamwork. If your face doesn't fit, no chance. Forget any hope of career development. I saw some of the most unprofessional behaviours in this company - bullying, poor management, finger pointing, arguments in the office. Seemed there was a few people milking the gravy at a start up with no intention of any serious business development. The place is a joke.

Sadly wasted potential

Pros

Nice office, fashionable location, free coffee.

Cons

The company is controlled by a small clique of "ideas men", who, despite their claims, do not understand the underlying technology or the products they are trying to build and sell. Institutional intimidation and bullying is rife - if you don't think/look/sound like the management cabal then bad luck, your opinion is irrelevant regardless of how senior you are or your length of service. Teams are extremely siloed, this feels intentional as it creates artificial reliance on an otherwise unnecessary group of middle managers and their management system. An incredibly toxic environment in which to work, in which people are afraid to speak out for fear of repercussions. The company seems to exist primarily to massage the egos and pay the salaries of a small elite group of individuals. The most impressive aspect is how good it all looks from the outside. A testament to the power of good PR!

Poor management

Pros

Nice office, not much else

Cons

Many cons - mainly let down by management. Tech appears to be going nowhere and management are failing to lead the team to success. Poor treatment of employees. Expected to work long hours for no benefit. From a software perspective they are behind the times and processes are not great. Lack of communication between teams.
