Pros
- Good exposure across different facets of the business, especially operations. - Hint of process/work like balance improvements - Challenging environment offers a great learning platform for improving those fire fighting skills, against both the business and people. - Competitive compensation usually on par or better than market.
Cons
- Lack of appreciation wreaks havoc on morale, especially when coupled with prevalent finger-pointing, belittling by management. High turnover observed. - Friction amidst Business units limit effective collaboration - 14 to 20 hour days during crunch time. Deadlines can be extremely tight, made worse by excessive demands.
