Pros

They had very good benefits, and the work was not bad. We worked in datacenters, installing all of the electrical pipe and wiring and equipment. Sometimes it could be repetitive, but there was always some new work not too far away. I was learning quite a bit and also going to trade school at IEC at the same time. Overall, I didn't have a problem with the work itself.

Cons

I had two issues. One was that everyone was expected to work overtime whenever there was a high demand for a project to be completed quickly. And sometimes there was no warning ahead of time to let us know that we'd be working overtime that week. One week I think we went from working 8 hours a day 5 days a week to 12 hours 7 days a week week and we found out that day that the schedule changed. I had weekends off to be with my son, unlike most of my coworkers, but it was still more than I wanted to work. I eventually decided to only work 40 hours, but I started getting put on only cleaning duty for a few weeks, which were my last few weeks. I also had a 4 hour class every week one day after work which made that day pretty miserable. The other issue I had was that some of the higher ups were not always pleasant. The guy I trained under most of the time yelled at me a lot and didn't have enough patience. The supervisor very frequently told us that we weren't working well enough in a way that didn't feel constructive.
