      Great People, poor leadership

      Pros

      Outstanding and talented team with a long heritage of innovation and delivering key technologies to GE businesses. Strong leaders both technically and in the management ranks except at the top spot (see below).

      Cons

      culture has been destroyed and key talent decimated since Vic Abate came in. He is disrespectful to people at all levels of the organization. He claims to support diversity but makes very derogatory comments to senior female leaders in a public setting.

      Pros

      Some superb scientists still work for this place. Great work life balance mostly since no one cares about the results.

      Cons

      - scientists who actually understand are reduced to the level of yes men. No authority technical or decision making is left with the people who understand. - > 60% managers are unqualified, pathetic bureaucrats.
