Pros

0 pros. They make it seem like a great $ package but if you are not a yes man and absolutely willing to work RIDICULOUS outrageous hours and give up your entire life, they will not allow you to make your comission as promised when first being hired and will withhold it.

Cons

Management is a joke. Employees are not valued or treated like human being... they only care about the bottom line and could care less if youve been pulling 14 hr shifts for weeks or months on end. MAJOR FAVORITISM AND NEPOTISM and they will fire anyone that speaks out over anything. The management had a family member they wanted in, so they made it their mission to push me out and fire me over a bogus reason, simply told me its not working out and took all my work belongings and stopped giving me hours even though i was a full time employee...then lied to unemployment about the reason of my dismissal to prevent me from getting unemployment while I found another job. They create an unsafe hostile work environment in hopes that you will quit on your own, and HR will do nothing about it either....and when you dont quit on your own, they will begin creating fake, illegitimate paperwork about you to make it seem like you're incompetent and grounds for dismissal. Paperwork that you never get to see that goes up the chain that it completely made up. You dont have a chance if they do not feel like they can completely control you. Management and senior management is a major problem. You will not get promoted or paid as promised. Run as fast as you can! This job is not what it seems, you're better off looking elsewhere.

This emotional hyperbolic review gives great insight into why you may not have been the best fit for our team. We have 250+ Project Manager team members across the country who are satisfied and thriving in their roles. I'm sorry GPRS was not your fit. Good luck with your next employer.

Pros

Can not think of anything.

Cons

Management just talks big but does not care about employees, only bottom line. Management is disorganized and clueless. Conducts unethical practices and are shameless about it. Please think twice before joining.

I can speak to the hundreds of integrous leaders and team members who are proud to call GPRS home and tell you that this group of hard working, higher achievers is not for everyone. You definitely get out what you put in which can be tough for those who are not willing to put in the effort. I understand it can be difficult when you find you are not well suited for a job and are asked to move on. This fact unfortunately causes some to post bitter, vague "unethical practices" and other slanderous statements based on emotion. GPRS has existed and thrived for almost 20 years due to its amazing ethical team members who are committed to team success. I hope you are able to find another opportunity that is a better fit for you.

Pros

Great for challenging you everyday and keeps you on your toes have to be adaptable. You’ll get to work some cool sites and overall meet some great people at the PM level in your area. Some days are super busy but you’ll also have days where you’re home by noon. PM promotion track is a nice touch, but has its flaws. Benefits are good.

Cons

Middle management is very inconsistent and totally unreliable. Area managers are hit or miss, but directors are total ghosts when you need them but are on your back if you don’t have a PO# at the end of month. Directors also drag their feet when it comes to raises with the PM promotion track and will undercut you every step of the way because they know it will ultimately affect their wallets down the road. So if you expect a raise, don’t expect it for months, if ever, once you request it. And this is with the company constantly updating/adding SOP’s and presenting more and more responsibilities to PM’s every year. AM’s can be impossible to reach at times and leave you high and dry on the days when you most need them for help on a site or if your equipment breaks down. Burn out will happen, and leadership acts like they care about your health, but don’t mind loading up your schedule regardless of who you talk to. Your AM and Director will see it as weakness. The travel isn’t too bad but does wear on you. If you tell HR you’re burnt out they could care less despite presenting themselves as protecting the employees. HR is there solely to be the shield of the company (as you can probably see in their responses here). Work/life balance is not ideal. Weekend and night work will be expected of you when called upon. You’ll be expected to travel 2-3 hours one way if that’s what it takes to get to a job site. Overdoing it with the corporate “buzz words/phrases” that they jam down people’s throats and if you’re not entirely bought into the GPRS way of life, you’ll feel like an outsider and leadership will use that against you. If you don’t see eye to eye with an AM or director you might as well leave. Software role outs have been a complete disaster. Going from infor to service pro and then to netsuite has been a huge misstep. We’ve been hearing about sitemap for how long? And there’s still no clear vision of what’s going on it with it to the PM’s, but it’s being hailed as the best thing since sliced bread. I really do think the very top tier people in the company try to look out for the people in the field, but as private equity came in the company has slowly lost its luster and that’s why the longer tenured employees are getting fed up and leaving. More and more pressure is trickling down to the field level. Most people in regional/area roles (directors, area managers, vertical sales, business development) are only in those positions because they’ve been with the company for 10-15 years or have special relationships with people back in Toledo. Just because someone has been with the company that long doesn’t make them qualified to be overseeing entire regions or even managing multiple people, especially when they have a hard enough time picking up the phone
