Cons

Pros
Annual passes to local attractions, but balloted. It's the same few attractions every year. Great insurance benefits from IHP who get off trigger-happy with rejecting claims without issuing reasonable justification.
Cons
They would constantly remind employees to buck up on 'KPIs' by enforcing a mandatory annual submission of two kaizens (regardless of their quality) and four near-misses. No Dinner & Dance to allow all the employees to bond, but they would rather organize a 'team-building' where we would be made to walk miles on end just to tire us out and reduce all notion of 'fun' to exhaustion and waiting for winning results. Employees who work tirelessly out of their expected scope are rewarded with a generous four percent increment and a pat on the back. How lovely. Promotion is so slow and salary is below average. Did I also mention that they have missed payouts on employee salary? Apparently it's happened to a lot of us on site here in Tuas and we are expected to log our own ticket with the global HR team who would take days to respond with non-answers. The HR does a wonderful job of not resolving your issue but they would type out a lengthy response elaborating on the subject as if you logged the ticket while oblivious to the issue you are facing. Lastly, immerse yourself in beautiful diversity as you work side-by-side with a workforce that's obviously dominated by people from a specific ethnic group. Nothing here is representative of Singapore.
