Pros

- Product discount - Paid Jewish holidays - Some coworkers are pleasant

Cons

- Company runs on nepotism, some of your worst colleagues are related to the owners - Many people with big egos in the upper management, and they all work separately from each other, making conflicting decisions - Some employees scream at each other across the office - Company tends to give low salary offers, so you have to negotiate - Raises are rarely given and you have to fight for every extra dollar - Very low morale among employees because they are overworked and treated poorly - Employees are asked to do additional work with no extra pay - Burnout, apathy and lack of motivation can be felt everywhere - Health benefits plan is so bad, it doesn't even cover vision care - No HR department, so you can't file complaints against coworkers who make inappropriate sexual comments - Work from home was not allowed during the COVID-19 pandemic. All employees were forced to come in person, even during multiple outbreaks at the office. If anyone had to work from home, they had to take a 50% pay cut - Office is old, ugly and dusty

Pros

absolutely none except for their sales director

Cons

Truly one of the most traumatic jobs I have ever taken; never in my life have I experienced something so horrible in my career. - forced overtime second day in - verbal abuse with a nonexistent HR - zero training/brand integration - horrible work culture - inappropriate comments by people in higher positions made regularly - I would share more if it didn't reveal my identity

Pros

- Made some great friends - Starting salary OK if you ask for it, depending on department - Somewhat flexible - Mostly easy going with mistakes - OK to gain some experience for a year or two but then move on - the role does not lead anywhere

Cons

- Pay increase minimal/non existent - Promotions usually lead to termination/being forced out - Benefits are not great - no RRSP/Pension/Vision/etc. Some people have better benefits than others. - Too many cooks in the kitchen - 3 owners and like 10 managers/VPs/leads to manage 25 product creators - Process is way too complicated for scale and type of business. Too many ongoing projects and no organization to help manage - insane workload, even for the fashion industry. - Toxic environment, no transparency, gossiping starts from management and trickles down. Teams throw each other under the bus. Some sales people scream/swear/slam doors/send rude emails. One woman micromanages and harasses junior staff like crazy and owners are aware but do not take action. - Office stayed open for most of pandemic- WFH meant 50% salary cut - Not an equal opportunity employer. Favouritism and opinions based on appearance, ethnicity, religious groups etc. Has treated some pregnant women very unfairly.
