      Fake Open Culture with Incapable Leaders

      Pros

      You might be able to get some free snacks from the pantry. Colleagues are generally good to get along with.

      Cons

      Manager in Singapore is unreasonable and inexperienced. Her incompetency resulted in a workplace filled with unhappiness, unfair treatments and negative. She misuses her authority when things dont go her way and blames you when things starts to go the opposite direction. She discourages office politics but ironically starts most of them herself.

      Great company before it was bought by Getty Images

      Pros

      Image.net was a dynamic, fulfilling startup while I was there. It had private equity behind it, so growth was all the rage, and there was lots of opportunity for smart, self-sufficient, creative people.

      Cons

      All this changed when the company was bought by Getty Images. Gone was the independence and dynamism. In its place came big corporation bureaucracy and monthly targets.

      Pros

      Getty Images has interesting products with good branding in the industry. It's not too big so can be nimble when required.

      Cons

      It has a hire and fire culture, I have seen 2 of my managers being fired when once upon a time, they were stars in the company. Constant restructuring so very unsettling. Old boys club....managers have tendency to hire own kind.
