Pros

Honestly, not many, I started applying for new jobs my first month there. -Some colleagues are supportive and collaborative. -Interesting projects, occasionally. -Provides insight into a niche sector of the PR industry. -There's an office dog, so there's that.

Cons

My time here was incredibly negative for my mental health. The company values conformity over diversity and is not supportive of their workforce. -Claims of wellness and flexibility are contradicted by a frustrating and unhealthy work environment. -Feedback on company processes is invited but ignored. -Lack of transparency. -Stifles creativity, acting as yes men for clients. -Employee feedback cycle focuses on protecting the company, not employee growth. -Industry focus is dry and client type rarely varies. -They're quick to push out employees (within 6 months) who do not conform. -Too much work per employee. -Low pay, low morale and high turnover.

Thank you for your feedback. We are rigorous during the first six months because it’s important, as a responsible company, to provide fair and transparent feedback so all parties know where they stand. Employment is a two-way process and it's just as important to ensure the role is the right fit for the individual, as it is for the agency. We closely monitor our time-tracking software to have real-time oversight of working patterns, and this is openly discussed with the whole team. We categorically do not support overtime, and any instances are promptly addressed by line managers. We are proud of our excellent work/life balance and invest heavily in fostering a supportive atmosphere where our team can excel and thrive. Likewise, we’re proud to retain our clients with long-term partnerships and we have a 100% staff retention rate at our senior level. We understand that some people prefer the variety of project work, but for the majority of our team, this retained model works really well. If you have any further suggestions, we welcome you to reach out directly so we can address them appropriately.

Pros

- Average progression opportunities - A glass of Prosecco and maybe a funded social if you’re lucky - Great team, great networking

Cons

- Extreme burnout in junior staff - Weekly meetings on how members aren’t meeting capacity and constant criticism - Negative morale throughout the company - Favouritism - If you don’t mould into their formula, they will target you to leave - Mental healths walks, but not one has time to take them - “Monthly socials” maybe a brainstorm breakfast but you’d have to work late to make up the time - They don’t care you if you work out of hours - Poor benefits

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re deeply concerned that you feel this way and we’d strongly encourage you to speak with your line manager or any of our director team to discuss these points further. We take great care to ensure a strong work life balance for our team, and focus a great deal of time and resource in ensuring individual workloads are manageable and supported during peak periods. We have reviewed our Toggl time management data for January 2024 and cannot see more than 5 hours logged of overtime across the whole team. This is being addressed directly with those individuals affected to ensure they have the support they need on accounts. We do not ask, expect, or encourage team members to work out of hours, so if this is happening we need to address it straight away. It is difficult to do this if the query is raised anonymously and not brought to our direct attention, or logged inaccurately on our internal time tracking software. Our benefits package is reviewed regularly and comparable to other businesses in our industry. Flexibility has always been at our core. We put an emphasis on work-life balance for all through flexi-working patterns and work-from-anywhere schemes. As you will know, we regularly take onboard team feedback via anonymous surveys and offer enhanced / accelerated benefits that are directly linked to productivity, loyalty, and personal aspirations. If you have any suggestions on company benefits, we’d love for you to bring this to us in an appropriate forum. We support all of our team members equally through a system of meritocracy, rewarding individual hard work and commitment. Individual performance is mapped out against defined competencies and expectations for each role. We are open to feedback so please do speak to your line manager if you have any further pressing concerns.

Pros

Provides a good insight into a niche sector of the technology industry. Some nice and supportive colleagues and clients.

Cons

Around a third of the company has left in the past year or so which says a lot. Despite preaching support of employee mental health and women in business on social platforms and to media outlets, my experience was a stark contrast. Certain members of the senior leadership team are the most toxic and unprofessional I’ve encountered thus far in my career, and will think nothing of exhibiting bullying tactics towards team members they dislike. Unfair and non-transparent feedback processes, often used as a method for the senior leadership team to channel their personal opinions, and in some cases, vendettas. Will invite feedback on company processes but as another review on here mentioned, they will almost certainly ignore it and will also target anyone with a contrary opinion to leave by making their life at the company unpleasant. Benefits package not comparable to the rest of the industry.
