The higher management were awful to work for. you were not even allowed into their building. The toilets broke and we were made use a portakabin in the middle of winter with no heating in them, even though there was perfectly good toilets in the executive's offices. you are just a number and they speak to you how they want. won't listen to your concerns about anything. no training was told to figure it out yourself.

Poor support in terms of mental health and poor managerial skills from certain team managers. Insufficient training but then get looked at stupidly when you ask management a question.

Company "values" are preached but sometimes not followed, if it means spending money. Pay is not great, bare minimum company contribution to pension. HR department forced temp 1 year shotgun contract at everyone at start of pandemic - disgraceful behavior. Recruitment freeze in some areas! Training seriously under invested. Lack of investment in various IT systems. Lots of work ongoing to streamline but lacking overall vision, investment & strategy. SAP implementation was painful. They want everyone back in the office post pandemic on a phased basis, despite the success of working from home. Very backward thinking from the management here! Factories / R&D are so under invested that known product issues not being rectified or taking months or more to resolve. New product introduction / product life cycle process is still a mess.

Very slow work, management isn't great.

Toxic environment. Loads of overtime. Management has no respect for the staff. High turnover. No training. No benefits. Low salaries.

- Manufacturing was very disorganised, necessary components regularly not made on time, bought in components regularly not in stock when needed. - No oversight of employees, I worked with people who should have a talking to by team leaders or management because they would stop work half an hour before quitting time, didn't help out others when they should have, gave bad attitude to me for no reason, etc. - Management had no communication with factory floor staff. Manager was never to be seen at the assembly lines when production was down for the above reasons, a team meeting with my manager hadn't been held in over 2 years before I left - New employees were given little to no orientation on their first day, training of new staff was minimal, and whereas we were told that only certain people (team leader, quality assurance technician, training officer) were to provide training, new employees were simply put in positions where they were trained by fellow employees, sometimes people who had only been there for a few weeks themselves. - Quality control was abysmal, components made internally were regularly scrapped or had to be reworked because they were made incorrectly and out of specification. - Pay was abysmal, until a few months before I left, basic pay for general operatives was minimal wage until we got a measly 5% pay raise earlier this year.
