Pros

The GoGuardian product suite is genuinely strong and has real, positive impact for students and educators. Individual contributors are talented, collaborative, and willing to help. Great people at the IC level.

Cons

Five-plus rounds of layoffs in two years. No one received a raise during that time, even as surviving employees absorbed multiple roles with no title change or acknowledgment. You will do the work of several people and be paid for one. Unlimited PTO is a perk you cannot realistically use because there is no coverage, and it will not protect your job anyway. They will lay you off and replace you with a contractor or make your team absorb your role. Very good chance you will be doing something you weren’t hired to do, but your title and salary won’t reflect that. Marketing gets almost no budget while sales is well-funded. Every deliverable requires leadership sign-off, so nothing moves fast. Product launches are consistently delayed because products go out unfinished. Fully expect to be online at 9 PM the day before a launch changing things that should’ve been ready to go weeks ago. Leadership chases trends instead of building a real strategy. They are consistently years behind competitors, launching products that have already existed on the market and treating them as innovations. Meanwhile, the core suite – the thing that actually justifies the price – is not getting the investment it needs to improve and stand apart. If you are going to charge a premium, you need to actually be a premium product. Direction changes frequently, clarity is rare, and the gap between leadership’s vision and execution reality is wide. The product is the most expensive in its category, yet pricing never budges even as school budgets shrink year over year. Until they focus on making their existing suite genuinely worth the cost, that is a hard sell.

Pros

Application was easy to get running

Cons

Lack of leadership direction, leadership didn't know where to go with anything. A lot of funds were spent on a product that failed and ultimately lead to massive layoffs.
