      Great people, not so great management

      Pros

      The people working at Goliath are great - hard working, dedicated and fun

      Cons

      The challenge is really the management. They do not wish to pay their quality people. The would rather have a revolving door. One manager speaks to the team like dogs. The president micromanages everyone.

      Fun and fast paced environment with a family atmosphere

      Pros

      You get a chance to see the life cycle of a product from concept, through design and development, into production and then on the retailer shelf. You are also exposed to other departments, and learn how their roles need to interact for a product to become successful.

      Cons

      Deadlines can be tight, and due to the seasonality of the toy industry, constant changes can create confusion and cause reworks to what was thought to be completed projects. They make an honest attempt to communicate to all employees/teams, but as with most companies, too often employees that are executing the work are left out of important decisions or changes.

      Pros

      Really smart people Fun environment We laugh a lot Work hard / play hard mentality Managers genuinely care about you. You don't always know it until something happens and they're there for you. And I liked the Surprise Ice cream socials and happy hours where they ask for everyone's ideas on a new game. The mean manager is gone, yay!

      Cons

      A few times a year you have to get a lot done With short notice which means some late nights.
