Pros

Being able to hand in your notice Central location of offices They often pay well because they struggle to recruit and retain staff

Cons

Incredibly high staff turnover from all departments Clueless managers who don't have the relevant experience to do their roles An inner circle of minions controlled by the owner who has created an "us vs them' culture. The owner is a manipulative bully Finger pointing and blame a daily occurrence with no leadership to drive anything forward. The company always claims to 'be changing' but this record has been playing for years.

Pros

Leaving the job ! Leaving the job ! Leaving the job !

Cons

The pay, the staff, the sales, the company, it was all shocking, I was used from day one and thrown out after 6 months, take great ideas and then throw them out of the door! I have never worked in a more boring environment in my life, the second you fall quiet on the phone you are dragged into the meeting room but all day everyone else around you is silent or on there mobiles, playing with footballs, reading the news, smoking or just going for a general wander to pass time ! Don’t ever try to micro manage someone like me again especially with your age and experience

Hi, Thank you for posting this review and i'm dissappointed to hear you felt 'used' during your time at GovNet. We pride ourselves in nurturing and developing talented sales people and I'm confident we offer a great platform for personal and professional development. Micromanaging is at odds with our core company values and we'll take your feedback on board so we can continue to ensure this experience is not replicated for our current and future employees. If you’re willing to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact me on Linkedin via https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamestucker08/ or email me anonymously at feedback@govnet.co.uk. Good luck for your next step James Tucker

Pros

When I walked out the doors after I decided to quit

Cons

All staff are so inexperienced and act like they're the wolves of wall street. You are 100% looked down upon if you don't perform. They select their favourite staff members based on how sexist their jokes are (all jokes degrade women) and help them succeed by passing them all the hot leads. I witnessed every single senior staff member in the Blackburn branch objectify women that worked for the company and even their own wives/girlfriends so respect for the female gender at all. There is one particular gentleman who will know who he is when he reads this tell gruesome inappropriate stories about his personal life that made me feel uncomfortable. They constantly make jokes about paedophiles, take long walks when they are bored, take several smoke breaks and long lunches.. but wait did I mention these perks only apply to management and senior staff members? f you want to take a job here prepare your crude jokes and rehearse you jack the lad impersonation. Oh and be weary of the grim reaper who sits in the corner sitting and judging everyone when hes been in the same position for 50 years.

Thanks for posting this review. I am extremely disappointed to read this - especially as we consider our Blackburn office to be an extremely positive working environment, which is demonstrated by high levels of engagement, strong performance, and a low staff turnover rate. This is not in line with other feedback we have received regarding this office and the working culture throughout our business. Our Founder and CEO is a woman, as are a large proportion of our Senior Leadership Team. However, I must stress we will not tolerate this type of conduct or behaviour at any of our premises and I will be investigating this personally as a matter of priority. If you are willing to assist me, I’d be more than happy to speak to you directly and in absolute confidence. You can connect with me privately on LinkedIn here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamestucker08/ I hope to hear from you soon. James Tucker.
