-Practicing nepotism
-Lack of strategical planning and giving buffer
-Afraid of changes from the existing out-dated and bad system, procedures, standards, etc
-Insanely high turnover rate
What to Expect when you work at Gryphtech
DEV
-Always short on schedule as 'new' project squeezes in the existing project
-Lack of knowledge transfer across the different product
QA
-Always short on time. often need to kill quality to meet deadline, yet managers expect to deliver a good quality
-Short testing window, no long term testing or stability testing
SUP
-Due to poor quality, always busy on support issues. Some of the issues should have been caught at the QA level
-Due to insufficient knowledge of the product and/or logic behind, relies on the developers to help with the issue which adds to the 'short on schedule'
-Any changes made by support do not get tested by QA team
OPS
-Servers and systems are not built for scalability. Multiple issues with old systems and load balancing issue.
-No scheduled maintenance or temporary shutdown despite the fact that company has nice load balances
PROD
-CEO and Managers cannot say "no" to projects if clients are pushing for it.
-No project is written down; no functional specification document,no requirement document
DESIGN
-Only 1 person in the design team; solo work the whole thing.
-Due to no documentation, mock-ups are generally the only way to show client and bounce back-and-forth
