Pros

Very talented staff trying to do their best Growing innovation improving processes so lots of change Lots of opportunities to learn Mostly friendly people though some cliques still exist

Cons

Outsourcing offshore has really impacted deliverables as less staff with knowledge Infighting at the GM levels each trying to be the hero and perhaps stretching goals too far for the short term

HBF genuinely cares about its people and members, and that shows in the culture. There’s a strong sense of purpose, supportive colleagues, and a real commitment to doing the right thing. Collaboration is encouraged, leaders are accessible, and there’s flexibility in how work gets done. As a not‑for‑profit, decisions feel values‑led rather than purely commercial, which makes the work meaningful. The organisation is also investing in culture, leadership and employee experience, which is encouraging.

Cons
