      Management bullied staff into doing their bidding

      Pros

      The co workers The 50c tickets (which i might add were constantly taken from workers for months at a time)

      Cons

      Horrible environment to work in as managers constantly bullied the cinema workers All workers were constantly belittled and humiliated by management Managers would actually yell and threaten cinema workers Supervisors were forced to complete tasks that were meant for managers, without any extra pay

      Pros

      Flexible hours, good for a first job if Friday/Saturday is okay Good exercise on floor Some nice customers Cheap movies!

      Cons

      Management having favourites and using intimidation tactics. Unnecessary stress to meet sales targets. Constant complaints about candy bar prices from customers. Less hours than expected. Was available 24/7 but given 1 shift a week for most of my duration - even asked for extra only to be told "shifts were being cut everywhere"...meanwhile others complaining about 4-5 shifts a week Took up a second job and reduced my hours only to get a foul attitude. Was not given much opportunity to work upwards.

      Pros

      - Fun job compared to retail or fast food - Staff can feel like family - $2 movie tickets - Great first job as you can learn many versatile skills (making coffees, operating a till, making hot food etc.)

      Cons

      - Horrible pay, I don't even know how it is legal for Lux Crew (who must have coffee skills and an RSA certification) to be payed the same rate as regular crew who just have to scoop popcorn or clean cinemas. - No penalty rates - My workplace specifically would send employees home 2-3 hours into their shift in order to cut costs
