I joined this company during what I now realize was its peak — a time when meritocracy, collaboration, and innovation actually drove decisions. The culture was strong, people were empowered, and growth felt organic and earned. Unfortunately, that changed dramatically when a new leadership wave came in. Rather than hiring based on capability, experience, or alignment with the company’s needs, several leadership positions were filled by the personal friends and former colleagues of those in power. These hires had glaring skill mismatches and little understanding of the domain or company culture. As a result, decisions started becoming chaotic, project quality declined, and capable team members were either pushed out or left out of frustration. There is a clear pattern of favoritism and closed-door decision-making, where feedback is not only ignored but penalized. Accountability exists only for the execution teams, while poor leadership choices go unquestioned — even when they affect client relationships, revenue, and internal morale. What's most disappointing is how the focus shifted from empowering teams and solving customer problems to protecting egos and justifying poor leadership calls. Talented employees now operate under fear, morale is at an all-time low, and people who once took pride in the company are either checked out or looking to leave.
