*Intimidating CEO but he's not a bad person. (I wouldn't consider this a CON but it is a factor for some people who can't handle it.)
(He can be a bit Intimidating yes, "his name is Mr. Harmann after all! He has a lot on his shoulders.
However, everyone blows it way out of proportion here an exaggerates the experience.
John is a great guy. He's just a traditional working man. He has old style work habits and that's not a bad thing..he will teach you discipline and how to be the best version of you, encourage to work hard and WILL scold you if you mess up. But he will never belittle you, scream at you, or talk down to you like others say he does. Reminds me a lot of my father.
Don't slouch in front of him. Be confident and assured that you are a great employee and prove that you are by your work ethic! This is coming from someone who does have anxiety and doesn't like confrontation, John is no where near the person these reviews claim him to be.)
*Kids on shoots can be a nightmare, parents worse even.
( But that is expected in photo shoots. You are a photographer, think if it as trying to sell a product, except it's an image of their child. Of course they're gonna be difficult! Soldier up and feel free to banter with employees about it! It takes a lot off after the hard day. )
*Sometimes you have to be up super.early. (like 4 am and be at the studio at 5am)
A lot of these jobs require packing up equipment and driving to the site, but everyone drives together! You'll have a lot of fun on the trips talking to your workers though and you'll always be ready to go once you get there! But remember. They are flexible! Some people are early birds, some aren't. )
*Not many "non school" type jobs.
(Currently Harmann Studios is working on getting more contracts for photography other than Weddings and Schools, but there will be more events. Do consider we just went through a pandemic. Not many people are buying art either! I would know. I'm an Illustrator and Photographer. It's rough right now. But be excited for the future!!
The rumors of John losing contracts are falsified and just bitter former employees who hate working with kids. It's not at all a factor. Encourage your employees to find potential contracts though and this won't be an issue honestly!)
