Pros

The Bedford location is right off the highway, so the commuting is ok.

Cons

It used to be a professional place to work. Since a management change, all meetings have been cancelled, cutting off communication between managers and employees. Long-term employees started getting written warnings for petty things. Temps hired don't usually stay longer than a few weeks. Constant turnover. Training doesn't prepare you for the actual job but you will be held accountable for things you were never taught. Very reactive style of management. No opportunity for growth or advancement.

Pros

Nothing. They destroyed my self worth

Cons

Discrimination against disabled employees. I have a documented learning disability. I love pharmacy but it's a lot to learn. I would enthusiastically arrive 15 min early so I could study and soak in all there was to know about the job. I was told I was breaking the law criminally by studying at work. I was given a write up. I explained I have always arrived at work 15 min early at all jobs and was always praised for this. She told me, here you are breaking the law. I have zero criminal history. I was also told I was not allowed to study on my own as I am supposed to focus on non work on my days off. It takes a lot of balls to tell me what to do on my day off. Any job I worked at accommodated my disability and loved my passion for studying and learning. It was criminal of them to write me up and push me out. During training people showed up late to work and some were unprepared, but the one who was prepared and 15 min early was called a criminal and written up and fired

Pros

Higher pay. Nice people. In some ways this review is not relevant because they were acquired. Assume that things will now change quite a bit.

Cons

Old HD is no longer in existence, was acquired by Rite Aid in early April 2014. Likely that Rite Aid will not leave them as an independently operating subsidiary for very long.
