Company seems to put on a strong front as they went independent this year, however I think it was only a facade. They are a distant third to sunbelt and united, and will always be the little brother. Also, in local markets herc branches seem to fall behind companies like a CAT dealer if they are present. Company depends heavily on the sales reps, yet provide little support in the way of competent branch manager, and the ability to negotiate their own deals. They don't provide much incentives to sales reps, except the few reps in each district who have really lucrative territories (large populations). If you're interested in this industry, skip herc and go with sunbelt or united. Commission scales really were a slap in the face in 2016. They use an "Optimus" system that's embarrassing...
