Pros

paycheck AND vacation time off

Cons

the people who have been there and train new people are a joke ----they teach them all BAD work ethics and therefore the new employees feel it is OK to conduct themselves in the same manner. the hire for all the wrong positions( one's which are not needed ) instead of positions which are desperately needed. Management is a JOKE ---they have no clue what is going on and they really could care less ------WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND A FRIEND TO WORK HERE.

Pros

The environment is very low pressure for an IT company. There is no sense of urgency to get things up and working quickly. Most of the equipment is current, but not cutting edge. Operating systems are kept up to current standards. The people below senior management are great. Very friendly environment to work in. Also offers flextime and some work from home for people working in IT.

Cons

The pro of a low pressure has led to an environment where they don't seem to take customer downtime very seriously. Money pressure is very high; they keep old equipment around past end of life to try to squeeze some extra dollars out of it. There is a lot of pressure to use free or low cost software which can't perform the functions that management is looking for. Two recent layoffs, March 31 and August 1, cut many longtime people while leaving in place other recent hires with the same job title. In both of these layoffs only 1 high management level person was cut. It appears that once you become more expensive you are next on the chopping block to be replaced with a cheaper less expensive person performing the same function (unless you have a relative or friend in management). Very high levels of manual file processing have lead to many quality issues. Quality issues are also caused by having new inexperienced people in the place of experienced people who were laid off for money reasons.

Pros

Good work life balance, laid back work schedule (this is also a bad thing though) and management is pretty good when it comes to requesting time off. Also management is quite flexible when it comes to using new technologies.

Cons

Management treats everyone the same regardless of skill and work ethic. So the most lazy incompetent employee (and there are many) receives the same treatment/bonus as an employee who works their tail off.
