Pros

You get to work with modern technology, the engineering team is awesome (was, before a series of layoffs decimated it), and you sometimes get to travel to nice locations for company meetups.

Cons

They don't really know what they're doing, they change direction every couple of weeks, they do random layoffs and keep mostly business/HR people around instead of engineers who will actually get the job done. They're also not transparent at all in terms of where the company is headed and runway. Aside all that, seniorities and positions are mostly political and have no resemblance to what other companies do and how they evaluate performance/contributions (e.g. you can have a technical manager with no technical expertise at all)

Pros

The product is fantastic, and everyone is knowledgeable about their work and the industry. The team is united to achieve the company goal - To help people's financial lives be much more manageable. There is much room to grow and learn because it is a startup company, and everyone is willing to help whomever and however they can.

Cons

As a startup company, you must be open to rolling your sleeves and be flexible in doing some tasks outside your realm. If this is the working environment you thrive in, then you are in the right spot!

Leadership team has a clear vision, strong financial backing and impressive industry credentials collectively. Despite having been with the company just a short while, it is clear the CEO is building an inclusive, people-first culture to ensure the successful roll-out / scale of its innovative technology. Excellent compensation and overall benefits, with a diverse team that is given scope to work flexibly and remotely. Already proud to call myself part of the Highline family.
