Pros

• Some coworkers are supportive and hardworking. • Benefits and pay are competitive for the industry.

Cons

• Company culture is a complete “boys club” — if you’re not part of it, you’re on the outside. • Leadership is all men, and they consistently talk down to women and do not value their contributions. • No repercussions for leadership that was abusive and obscene — behavior that would never be tolerated in a healthy workplace is ignored here. • Leadership does not take accountability for decisions or mistakes. • Constructive feedback is not welcome; disagreeing or challenging leadership can quickly put your job at risk. • Leadership are also mostly shareholders, so their focus is on protecting themselves and maximizing their own interests — not on employees or long-term sustainability. • Do not work here if you are a go-getter, want career growth, or are trying to make improvements — those qualities are not supported or valued. • Lack of transparency in decision-making and little effort to create an inclusive workplace.

Pros

Hooper has some of the smartest, hardworking and, dedicated employees. It’s a really supportive work environment with no shortage of work and very interesting and rewarding projects to get the opportunity to work on.

Cons

Lots of turnover recently leaving lots of extra work on already overloaded employees. HR is not responsive and rude when you have questions. Hooper has no onboarding or training for new employees. They take you to your desk and let you figure things out yourself. Pay and benefits are average but could be better based on the workload.

We appreciate hearing you think so highly of your coworkers and that you feel Hooper provides a supportive work environment and rewarding work. We are growing quickly, and this presents some challenges, as you know. The good news is that we’ve added some great benefits to our package this year. We’ve also been working hard to improve our onboarding programming and you’ll see additional improvements in the months ahead. Please continue to share your feedback with us because that’s how we continue to get better.
