Pros

Hybrid working Working for a charity supporting a good cause is nice.

Cons

CEO is an aggressive bully who doesn’t listen to anyone with any knowledge or expertise and is unpleasant to even be in the same room as. He will always have something to be awful to someone about and has created a toxic environment where bullying is allowed - provided it’s one of his cronies dishing it out. How the trustees decided this is the man for the job I will never understand. HR is more than useless and as soon as you raise any issue no matter how slight they will start trying to manage you out. The infighting in the senior leadership team is insane. One of the most toxic places I have ever had the displeasure of working at. No career progression, no learning opportunities, projects pulled last minute, ridiculous demands made and expected to follow up on in timeframe that is just not possible. This used to be a great place to work but as soon as the current CEO got in, it all went down hill quickly. It’s a shame as it’s a great cause and one we should be championing but massaging egos is more important to the management team. Do not trust any of the fake positive recent reviews that HR/SLT have clearly been writing. You WILL regret taking a job here

Pros

Leave on time Competitive pay

Cons

A real shame. Could be such a nice place to work but due to bad management and HR is the worst place I’ve ever worked. Extremely high turnover. Treated like you are always the problem and everything is always blown out of proportion. You have no chance if you want to raise a concern, they’ll just get rid of you one way or another. Quality and effort of work is low. Certain people act in a terrible manner but are still protected. Managers have no management or people skills. No room for progression, not that anyone wants to stay! Terrible atmosphere in the office, making you dread everyday. No interest in their people and the ones who do the best work are treated the worst by management. No job satisfaction, avoid where you can.

Pros

Some nice people work here and a nice cause.

Cons

The CEO, the Finance Director, The SLT's endless infighting and undermining each other, constant changing of Direction, the bullying culture led by the CEO, the pulling of projects at the last minute by the FD, the CEO targeting people he decides he doesn't like, no communication with the staff. Poor HR.
