      Pros

      Good scientific environment, many platforms to do all kind of experiments.

      Cons

      No possibility to have a permanent job here. Group managers are not very aware of the current reality of job opportunities after a PhD or a post-doc. They seems to think that everybody will find a job in academic research and they don't want to hear about careers in industry, it sounds like a betrayal for them ! Anyway they don't really care about our future, they just want students for cheap work in their lab.

      Great researchers, good, well-maintained infrastructure, diverse and high quality research. Good community of students from different parts of the world. Great place to start your scientific career.

      Cons

      Typical drawbacks of working in an academic setting in life sciences research, which involve frustrations over not carefully planned experiments or projects not working.
