Pros

Fast pace, challenging environment. Always work to do, little time to sit around bored.

Cons

Very poor hiring decisions were made, with no consideration given to employees who were overworked and due for promotion, instead choosing to hire someone with zero experience working in the field to be supervisor. He lasted two weeks. The job was then given to a junior who had been there less time, had less responsibility, and had none of the knowledge of the other personnel in that department, but he had known management before being hired on. Manager complained about pay to her staff often, which I found unprofessional, considering she made substantially more than staff, who were underpaid for their position. Said manager eventually admitted she had no interest in the department she was managing, stating she was only doing it until a job freed up somewhere else. She repeatedly called co-workers names behind their back and shared their personal information. Stories were shared by other managers in that department about using escort services with other employees. Stories were shared about management using travel to cheat on their spouses. Employees in other departments showed open contempt for actual work, complaining when asked to handle simple tasks. Someone once told me that if she was to do the task she asked of me, she wouldn't have time to take a smoke break and read her book. When a team member was leaving the firm, I was asked to handle his entire job myself in addition to my current responsibility. When asked for an appropriate pay increase, I was informed by management that I already made enough money and I needed to just suck it up and do both jobs. After a significant amount of time of having my team vastly understaffed, the new hires they brought in had zero corporate experience and in the year they were there before I left, showed no growth whatsoever. Overall, an incredibly unprofessional environment with little consideration to normal office decorum or ability.

Pros

A few of the people are nice. There sometimes is free food. Decent vacation time.

Cons

They watch your every move like hawks. Hypercritical. Many of the attorneys are mean and/or rude. Attorneys are treated like gods. Staff are peasants.

Pros

Benefits are decent and good match.

Cons

This place is full of drama and unprofessionalism. People have been here for years and say they wish they could leave, but can't due to their tenure and close to retirement. They have way too many managers and staff get treated less than. They try to act "woke" in their DEI, but it is all a ploy. Literally keep staff and attorneys separate, because we are just overhead.
