      Pros

      Great courtroom preparation experience. Relaxed atmosphere. Close mentoring if you seek it. Good preview for what it is like to handle a caseload. Fulfilling to serve community in a meaningful way. Effective use of law clerks.

      Cons

      Opportunity for a job following the bar is not very good. Little prospect for upward mobility. Dirty. Some may not find it challenging. Some may feel stuck there. Some may feel the burden of the beauracratic drag.
