Pros

Good single healthcare coverage through ADP. It's about 5$ of your monthly paycheck. Workflow process is efficient and organized

Cons

One of the biggest issues I had with this start up was lack of thorough training and clear communication. Yes, of-course you have your weekly "education" sessions on Monday where any employee can elaborate on vague topics. Although the probability of those topics cross functionally applying to your skillset is less than. The majority of employees are younger. Generally not an issue, but if you're looking for a group of entry level employees who shamelessly talk about drinking 24-7 and are not genuine in their conversations - go ahead. You have two different departments, SEO & PPC. The PPC department is extremely isolating and left in the dark most of the time. Lack of training was so apparent because no one had the time or ability to train their employees. John threatens his employees to attain a certain workload in the most passive aggressive way that it became very annoying and authoritarian. If you want to ensure a person can handle the client workload I'd recommend including that information in the job description or explain during the interview process. Simply put you have a bunch of naive and young employees who will "follow" the leader. I think there needs to be a huge improvement in the way the employees treat each other when on-boarding new staff. Felt left out most of the time and not included in any type of group meeting or project. It felt like I was there, but in passing. It was annoying as hell, but of-course you do not want to ruffle any feathers in the beginning of a new job. Just so odd to me that the employees here think this company is a diamond in the haystack - because it's not. The majority of your perks are basic as pumpkin spice. Then again these employees are young and really fresh in the working environment. (so they don't know what's better) It was clear as day how I was treated. John and the c-suite belittling my intelligence, my work skills and my capability to do my job effectively. Bro house galore at the top.

Hi There, This is John Lincoln the CEO. I'm very sorry to hear about this. I am unclear if you are a current employee or a past employee and what department you are in. I'm going to write this response as if you are a current employee who has been at Ignite for over one year. I do wish you would have talked to me or a manager if this were the case... My top priority is employee success... If it is the case the you do still work at Ignite, I would love to speak with you. If you don’t feel comfortable coming to me, you can go to your Director, Krish (our president) or our head of HR. We can also keep it anonymous. Either way, let’s please talk. Regarding the advice you offered, we are always working to improve. Let’s find a way to get you back on track. I am here with an open door and will not hold this review against you. Instead we can use it as an opportunity to work with you to improve your current situation over the next 30 days. Couple things I would like to address. 1. Yes the healthcare is good and we continue to expand it. We are also looking to add even more perks, on top of the excellent salaries we offer. 2. Thank you for the compliment on the workflow process. We have worked very hard on it. 3. You mention issues with training. We have a massive database of training materials and a good system in place. I do think our training is good and continues to get better each day. 4. We have very diverse employees here. 5. Our three biggest departments are SEO, PPC and social media. We have Amazon, email and CRO which are growing. 6. We do have a certain minimum workload requirement which is discussed with all employees when they are interviewing here. It is discussed in every interview and is clear in the offer letter. 7. We also do have a tests on PPC side. We have specific questions on the SEO and social side. Also, most of our people have many years of experience. The large majority of our employees are happy here. I'm sorry you are not. But writing this review is not the best way to fix it. All it takes is a simple slack message to me or your manager. We care a great deal about the people and about you!

Pros

- Had the opportunity to work with some pretty big name clients - Stocked snack bar provided for employees in office - 7 hour Fridays and private parking lot

Cons

- Response to stay at home measures was less than ideal, especially since they didn’t want us to WFH. For a digital marketing agency, they don’t provide their employees with laptops or easily accessible equipment. Instead, there are PC towers and maybe 5 laptops the company has that can be loaned out (which always seems to be loaned out). When working remotely due to stay at home orders, we had to use our own equipment and we were encouraged to download work related items on our personal computers to meet company requirements. - Toxic work environment. Aside from favoritism, a streaming gossip mill, and micro-management beyond belief, this company is the furthest thing from trustworthy or innovative. New ideas that could truly help improve work flows, SOPs, etc are always ignored nor never considered or taken seriously. If it’s not the Ignite way, it’s not happening. To touch on micromanagement, you would think for an 80+ person company with grown adults/professionals, the CEOs would trust you, however that is the furthest thing from true. - Lack of company culture and values. All the company really cares about is money coming in. Sure, business is business however much of the upper management does not follow the company's core values nor do they value their employees and clients are not the nicest 70% of the time. - Lack of accountability. Anytime something goes wrong with a client, its finger pointing and people being thrown under the bus. You’re constantly asked to update documents and spreadsheets just to have the same information in numerous places and takes away from actual client tasks. Directors are extremely disorganized and the Sales team is very disconnected from the services they sell which leads to many issues with clients later down the road. Lots of guarantees and over promise to close a deal when its simply not realistic. - The company says they have an open door policy but really, they never make the time to discuss issues and when they do make time, they simply shut you down with irrational, narcissistic reasoning. - Outside of the stay at home measures, work from home is very much a privilege and frowned upon by upper management. You only earn your 1 WFH day after a year of employment, so not much to look forward to there.

Pros

You can leave at 4:30 on Fridays... (eye roll)

Cons

Beware - these positive reviews are all fake. They pressure employees to leave 5 star reviews.

Hi There, It is very hard to respond to a review like this. Sounds like you worked at the company for more than year, but wanted more than our regular practice of letting people out between 3:30 and 4:30 on Friday. We do our best to create a good work environment for people. You of course know this if you worked here. I believe there are more benefits to the company than leaving early on Friday. Some of those being fun outings, work from home policy, bonuses, caring deeply about the employees, excellent growth rate, job stability, attracting amazing clients, clear processes, frequent raises, frequent promotions, clear structure, frequent planning and more. Also, these reviews certainly are not all fake. I wish you the best and also thank you for your time at the company. We are always working to improve. I also wish you the best in your next role. Sincerely, John Lincoln, CEO
