Product group is a hot mess. Product owners don’t know what they’re doing. There’s not even a product roadmap! They say they use a Kanban approach to IT but they don’t even know the first thing about it. Everything they do is done on a shared drive including the systems for their operations. I’ve never seen a thing like it. They need to step into the 90s. Things are that antiquated.

I was in a lone position for the entire company. This included forty branches in the US and two in Canada. The expectation was to “own” the solutions. They wanted a 24x7 employee. I worked days where I would put in 14-16 hours and that was the expectation. The position I had effected my mental health to the point I had anxiety and depression. Since I was in a no win situation. I ultimately resigned one day and I did not feel sadness or failure. I felt relief that I no longer had to take this work abuse. Do not work for this company if you value your time, family, and more important your mental health. I worked there only several months and it was more than enough to understand. The work environment was toxic.
