Cons

- New top management taking high risk/ high impact decisions with very little knowledge or contact with the company. - What used to be an very inclusive and caring culture has transformed into a non respectful, conflict driven and untrustworthy one.

Pros

The mission to eliminate all animal protein from the human diet is laudable. Good benefits. People on the outside still think it is a great place to work but I suspect that bubble is about to burst.

Cons

I don't even know where to start. The organization is eating itself alive. The arrogance is overwhelming. The people who actually know how to run a business and sell food products are leaving or have left. There is a clear disconnect between the leadership team and the rest of the organization. Promotions are given to favorites and poor behavior in the chosen few is ignored and the people that point out the behavior are dismissed. This is one of the most toxic environments I have encountered, particularly for senior level women. If you aren't white, male and hold a Stanford MBA you aren't going anywhere of consequence in the company but if you are white, male and hold a Stanford MBA, they will just shuffle you around regardless of the complaints against you or your inability to actually do the job.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review of your experiences working at Impossible Foods. Being a mission driven company, we appreciate hearing that you approve of our critical mission to replace all animal protein by 2035. We also pride ourselves in offering a robust benefits package, so it’s awesome to hear that you feel supported in that regard. Impossible Foods is committed to offering fair promotions based off of past performance and demonstrated potential. Every Performance Cycle, we improve upon previous programs using feedback we hear from employees. Through Glassdoor and other feedback channels, we’ll continue to listen to employee feedback to make Impossible Foods a better place to work. In that vein, we’d love to hear more specifically about some of the issues you raised in your review about promotions and culture. If you’re open to that, please set up time with someone from the People Team (people@impossiblefoods.com), so we can better address your concerns.
