I am a transplant in Portland from the San Francisco Bay Area's Silicon Valley. I thought I will never experience again the same entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, "dominate your market space" mentality, dynamic working environment, exposure to cutting edge technologies until I worked for this company. Innovari has a very high tech product offering that uses an in-house designed and built hardwares and Web applications. These components are built on technologies like real-time OS, embedded systems, cellular communication, energy management devices, Unix OS and Web technologies. If you are part of the product development and QA group, you get to play with these technologies.
Cons
Occasional Krispy Kreme donuts in the break room; free soda and iced tea; the company hosted dinner outings when we have milestone achievement celebrations; lunch catering at work when co-workers from Austin, India, Jordan, South America, etc. are in the Portland office -- if you have no self control, you can gain a little weight.
