Poor leadership on tech side, parent company (Nomura) is losing huge money, competition is fierce and cannot keep up. Some, but not all tech management are incompetent, arrogant, try to act tough behind the desk and have been there way too long with there obsolete thinking. They pick and choose who they give inflated titles to.
There is no structure across the support teams, they are stressed out, miserable looking and irritable all day. There is no training nor does anyone want to help new joiners, a result of poor leadership. Some employees that have been there a long time do the bare minimum, pretend to be busy or browse the web all day.
The Instinet culture is slowly disappearing as the failing parent company is taking more control, which is losing huge money. There culture is very different from Instinet, they lack personality (robotic), have poor communications skills and are very difficult to get along with creating dysfunctional teams.
