Pros

Only here because it’s hard to find a job during covid

Cons

We’re tasked to manage customer payment issues using templates, from telling them to read the terms and conditions to threatening them with legal actions or engaging debt collector agency. The goal is to get their next round of membership fees. I feel so much negativity working like this, so I’m looking out but it takes time to find a job in the pandemic

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re not happy working at InterNations, and that you’re planning to leave us. We nevertheless strongly encourage you to discuss this matter with your team lead if you don’t feel comfortable with a certain task. As you already know, the Community Support Team has the goal of providing fast and effective help to our members. Of course, there may be times where templates prove helpful and efficient for reoccurring cases in order to be able to always achieve this goal. You are welcome to provide feedback about the team’s processes directly with your team lead — in fact we encourage open and honest communication and would appreciate hearing more about how we can improve things. All the very best, InterNations HR Team

Pros

Not much to talk about

Cons

I realised that this organisation take advantage of volunteers to build customer communities then treat both their ambassador and members like money making object. Received a lot of complaints but the company policy is to do nothing to fix customers' issues. Close to a fraud. Can only cheat blind people!

InterNations is made up of a team of around 100 employees in Munich, and a whole network of dedicated volunteers who help organize events locally. As an essential part of the InterNations family, we treat our volunteers with the utmost respect and have a dedicated team to support them. A combination of these events and an online network of like-minded people helps expats feel at home, often when they’re many miles from their support network. Many of our team have been or are currently expats, know what it’s like to be in that position, and go out of their way to support our members as a result. Despite all the work that goes into organizing events and building an online network, there’s no cost to join InterNations — it’s free! It’s been that way since we started the company almost ten years ago, and is something we’re proud to continue. We run our business with an open-mind, honesty, and entrepreneurial spirit — we’re always happy to welcome those with the same mindset to work with us. Best regards, Your InterNations Team
