Expensive benefits
More layoffs than normal in industry
Lack of rewards for going above and beyond.
There was a recurring and constant problem in our department, something that frustrated everyone and slowed down our progress. I came up with and proposed a solution to my manager. This went up to their manager and eventually made its way up to an executive and it was decided they would implement this solution.
I was told this could save the company “up to $500,000 per year!!”
I was not given any type of reward for this solution. No raise, no bonus, not even a thank you from those above me.
I’ve heard the company has laid off over 1500 employees at this point. I thought they would keep someone who provided such beneficial solutions to the company but I was still given the boot. My guess is they looked at seniority or maybe I was making a few bucks more than my fellow coworkers but I thought I had proved my value; and not even including the fact that I’m confident in the quality, speed and efficiency of my work.
If you can save the company up to half a million dollars in potential savings a year and still be let go, it shows that either your work is not valued, or it shows the quality of decision making by those in charge.
I’ve been in the mortgage industry for a long time and survived every round of layoffs up until this one. ICG does have some good qualities to them but based on my experience and other reviews, clear negatives as well.
