Pros

Pay was good. That's it.

Cons

The VP was nowhere to be found. He was always MIA and barely responded to emails. Everyone was remote so who knows if he was actually working. I heard the company merged or was bought out. Not surprising.

Pros

NONE, NONE, NONE, NONE. THIS COMPANY MAKES THEIR OWN RULES AND LAWS. BEING SUED BY MANY!

Cons

Please do not fall for this companies lies about working for them. They will tell you to cancel people's loans even if the borrower is going to lose their home. They give the customer 10 days even if they are dying or have a death in the family. You are given exactly that for all the paperwork to be sent to the processor. If the customer misses one document, they will tell them to go somewhere else. This happens after their credit has been pulled multiple times, after they paid for appraisal with no refund, after the loan is approved and almost closing. They are cold hearted. They have more denials than approvals and want you to make sure that is true. You are not allowed to speak with the borrower on a friendly level, or you will be punished. Your boss has no idea what she is doing... I have been processing for 25 years and she was telling me that I did not know how to do my job when I clearly had 22 years more in the business. They laid me off without any notice, just signed me out of computer, did not give me time to take personal info off of it. They laid off a co-worker that had heart surgery coming up after she had been waiting for the insurance to pay for it. Very sad. She passed away.

Pros

- Starting pay higher than others in area - Remote work available depending on type of work - Managers would listen to your ideas and answer questions if asked

Cons

Expensive benefits More layoffs than normal in industry Lack of rewards for going above and beyond. There was a recurring and constant problem in our department, something that frustrated everyone and slowed down our progress. I came up with and proposed a solution to my manager. This went up to their manager and eventually made its way up to an executive and it was decided they would implement this solution. I was told this could save the company “up to $500,000 per year!!” I was not given any type of reward for this solution. No raise, no bonus, not even a thank you from those above me. I’ve heard the company has laid off over 1500 employees at this point. I thought they would keep someone who provided such beneficial solutions to the company but I was still given the boot. My guess is they looked at seniority or maybe I was making a few bucks more than my fellow coworkers but I thought I had proved my value; and not even including the fact that I’m confident in the quality, speed and efficiency of my work. If you can save the company up to half a million dollars in potential savings a year and still be let go, it shows that either your work is not valued, or it shows the quality of decision making by those in charge. I’ve been in the mortgage industry for a long time and survived every round of layoffs up until this one. ICG does have some good qualities to them but based on my experience and other reviews, clear negatives as well.

Pros

Remote work is nice, and equipment was provided

Cons

I was paid at minimum $5 less per hour than my counterparts, even though I'd been with the company longer. They heaped on loads of work that was supposed to be done by different departments, eliminating the need for those people (even though they were critical to the process) and creating such a hostile environment with managers constantly blowing smoke... An insult to anyone's intelligence. Just all around, a very unpleasant experience. I made it through four layoffs before they shut down our division for good and got me with the fifth layoff. I will never recommend this company to anyone, for work or for a mortgage - they are shady, and unprofessional, and their turn times are incredibly bad.
